The 2016 season brought further improvement for the Buccaneers over 2015 and their first winning season since 2010 but alas no post-season berth as that streak reached nine years. First-year coach Dirk Koetter brought a better mentality on and off the field to the team and in spite of a series of injuries to offensive players that left them totally depleted by season’s end, this Bucs team hung in there to the final week and were still in contention on the final afternoon until tie-breakers went against them. The five-game win streak from mid-season made the Buccaneers one of the best teams to miss out on the playoffs.
