The opening game of the 2013 season set the tone for a bad season when the Bucs allowed a late drive and the Jets kicked the winning fieldgoal with two seconds remaining. Lavonte David was called for a personal foul penalty that gave the Jets the key extra 15 yards to allow Nick Folk’s kick to be successful. The Bucs had their other chances during the game but a succession of penalties and mistakes cost them in the end.
