The Bucs had the lead at half-time in a game in which both starting quarterbacks were knocked out injured. Santana Dotson put Rich Gannon out with his fifth sack in three games, while Vinny had his throwing hand go numb after a sack too. Steve DeBerg led the Bucs to within six with a late fourth quarter drive, but the Vikings were able to run all but 16 seconds off the clock to hand the Bucs their first loss under Sam Wyche.
