Tampa Bay Buccaneers 20 Chicago Bears 10 Sunday 1 November 1981 at Tampa Stadium CBS COMMENTARY CREW Frank Gleiber and Johnny Morris
This was a win on the back of three big Buccaneer plays. A medium pass over the middle went 81 yards as Doug Williams and Jimmie Giles teamed up for the then-longest play in franchise history. A 51-yard connection between Williams and Kevin House made it 17-3 Tampa before the Bears narrowed the lead early in the fourth quarter. The third big play came when Jerry Eckwood went 59 yards on one play to set up the clinching fieldgoal.
