Fresh off their success in 1980, great things were expected of the 1980 Buccaneers and hence their 5-10-1 mark was a real disappointment. Rumours of drug use on the team remain prevalent but this team definitely under-achieved especially after their 2-0 start which included a revenge win over the Rams. The season did produce the only tie in franchise history, a 14-14 encounter with the Packers at Tampa Stadium.
