Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23 Seattle Seahawks 30
Sunday 16 October 1977 at the Kingdome
Steve Myer threw for four touchdown passes as the two 1976 expansion teams played a far better game than their
penalty-stricken affair the previous season. Gary Huff's record-setting pass to Morris Owens tied the scores in the
fourth quarter and was the longest pass play in team history at the time. The Bucs only scored four offensive
touchdowns in the first 12 games of the 1977 season and half of them came in this game as well as scoring 23 of
their 50 points in one day. The Bucs were only one point underdogs in this one.
