Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7 Dallas Cowboys 23
Sunday 2 October 1977 at Texas Stadium
The offense was shutout and the Bucs only got on the board on Richard "Batman" Wood's fumble return in the
second quarter. "Hollywood" Henderson's interception return was the longest such play against the Bucs at the time
and set the tone for a game that the Cowboys dominated in terms of yardage, 415-163. The Bucs were no less
than 21 point underdogs against Tom Landry's squad in this game. The game also featured the top two selections
from the 1977 NFL draft with the Cowboys’ Tony Dorsett having by far the better of the day against No.1 overall pick
Ricky Bell.
