The 2003 season saw the Bucs playing as defending Super Bowl champions with all the pressures and expectations that title brought. And despite all the talk of repeating, only on rare occasions did those champion Bucs appear during the season. The breaks and the injuries just did not go their way and the first losing season since 1996 was the end result. By the time finished in Tennessee, back- ups were all over the field and there would be no Tampa Bay presence in the post-season.
