After five games, the Bucs were 3-2 and showing serious potential around the NFL. Then they lost in the final minute to the woeful Lions and promptly started a five-game losing streak that ended their chances. Two narrow wins included a sweep of the Bears but losing five of their eight games that were decided by four points or less proved decisive for such a young team.
