After Ray Perkins had spent a year gutting and re-building his roster, the sophomore jinx hit his young team in 1988 no more notably so than Vinny Testaverde throwing a record 35 interceptions in a single season. Three late season wins bumped the record up to 5-11 but this Buccaneer team was not a good one and led to the boo birds descending on the team by season's end.
