The third time the Bucs had played in the Meadowlands and the third straight time they had lost 17-14 to the Giants.
James Wilder had a monster game including a TD run and a 35-yard reception that set up Adger Armstrong's TD in
the fourth quarter. As Lawrence Taylor said after the game "James Wilder is the best back I have ever played
against in my life". Taylor himself had a great game including four sacks of Steve DeBerg who was making his first
start for the Bucs. The Giants were able to run out the final 4:02 of the clock to preserve the victory.
