Eric Dickerson and the Rams ran all over the Bucs for 299 yards on the ground with the future Pro Bowler gaining 191 of them with three scores. For the Bucs, it was the usual DeBerg and Wilder show and the home side had a 26-17 lead going into the fourth quarter. In the end, an early missed extra point by Obed Ariri, and a fumble by DeBerg on the Tampa 34-yard line that set up the Rams' final fieldgoal proved to be the difference in a game coached by two ex-USC alumni.
