Stenerud FG23
Most people remember this game either for Jan Stenerud setting an NFL record for most fieldgoals in a career,
or for it being Howard Cosell's last game on Monday Night Football. Bill Capece missed a 35-yard fieldgoal in
the fourth quarter and a key extra point and hence cost us another game. After the game, John McKay
remarked that "Capece is Kaput" and sure enough, he never played again for the Buccaneers. Stenerud tied
the game with 28 seconds left with his third fieldgoal of the game, and the Packers then drove 65 yards on the
ground in overtime to allow the veteran kicker to win it 4:07 into the extra period.
