One of only a handful of Bucs never to have attended college and w s playing semi-pro football when the Bucs signed him in 1988. After a couple of seasons learning the NFL ropes, moved into a starting role at defensive end in 1992 and led the team in sacks in 1993. Signed with Pittsburgh as a free agent after that season and had three more successful years with them.
