On the roster briefly during 1977 but never actually played a down for the Bucs. Was traded to the Raiders for a then-undisclosed draft pick after the season which turned out to be a 10th rounder in the 1978 draft. Did play three games for the 49ers during the 1978 season but never made a reception and never appeared in the NFL again after that brief sojourn. His nephews are NFL quarterbacks David and Derek Carr.
