Played in 10 games in 2011 primarily on special teams but did see some action at safety late in the season but did not make the 2012 team out of training camp. Originally joined the Bucs in November 2010 when he was signed from the Cleveland Browns' practice squad and recorded his first NFL interception in the win over New Orleans. Originally entered the league as a fifth-round selection of the Browns in the 2010 draft and went on to play for the Colts and Raiders after leaving Tampa Bay.
