Played seven seasons with the Buccaneers in two separate spells and remains the franchise leader in special teams' tackles. Had one season starting at linebacker but also made six other starts due to injuries elsewhere. Had made the 1996 team as an undrafted free agent. Left the Bucs after the 2001 season to play in Detroit but returned for the 2004 season and missed 2005 due to injury before retiring from the NFL.
