Spent just one season with the Bucs playing in nickel defenses most of 1984 and recording one interception in the penultimate game of that season against Atlanta. Did not make it through camp in his second season. His only NFL start came in the season finale against the Jets and had five of his ten career tackles in that game. Was the 57th overall selection of the 1984 draft and was part of the entire Texas Longhorns secondary that was drafted in the first five rounds that year.
