Proved to be a high-priced free agent bust having been signed to a $37M five-year contract early in the March 2012 free agency period and started the first 10 games at cornerback before being suspended four games by the NFL for taking a banned stimulant. Was released after the season and wound up playing in 2013 with the 49ers before leaving the NFL for good. Originally entered the league as a 2nd round pick of the Browns in 2007.
