Promoted from the practice squad before the final game of the 2015 season but was a gameday inactive before being released when the season ended. Originally entered the NFL as an unrafted free agent of the Vikings in 2013 but saw action in nine games with the Cleveland Browns making one start. Had spent much of the 2015 season on the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad before being signed by the Bucs in December and then promoted when Chris Conte was placed on IR.
