Hard-nosed defensive tackle who started for most of three seasons at nose tackle in the Bucs' 3-4 defense of that era. Suffered a serious back injury during
1990 and was told to retire by medical advisors so took up flying and gained his pilot's licence 18 months later. Only played two games in his rookie season
because of injury but became a permanent starter thereafter.
