Had been signed to a five-year $17M free agent contract from the Cowboys in March 2015 but did not win the starting middle linebacker job as expected and spent the much of the season playing primarily on special teams. Made three starts after Kwon Alexander had been suspended but was released in March 2016. Was originally a 2nd round pick of Dallas in the 2011 NFL draft and led all NFL linebackers in interceptions in 2014 with five.
