Made two Pro Bowl appearances as a Buc and his 45 sacks are the most ever by a Buccaneer linebacker. BACK-UP - OLB - HUGH GREEN Was the 7th overall pick of the 1981 draft and was immediately a dominant force stopping the run, covering the pass and rushing the passer. Was twice a Pro Bowler before the demise of the Buccaneer defense affected his numbers. Forced a trade to Miami midway through the 1985 season for 1st and 2nd round picks but his play was never the same in South Florida. BACK-UP - OLB - CECIL JOHNSON Made the 1977 team as an undrafted free agent and was a starting linebacker for almost six seasons. He was the last member of the team that played in the Bucs' first win in franchise history to leave the squad. His 174 tackles in 1981 was the then-highest in franchise history and stood for a decade. A tremendous coverage linebacker on the great early Buc defenses and had five interceptions in the 1981 season alone.
