Double fumble in overtime
v Minnesota - Tampa Stadium
15 October 1995

The background

It never got any better for this for Sam Wyche. The Bucs went to 5-2 with this win and he was crowing to all the media in the locker room after the game on how good a coach he was and what a great team the Bucs were. And then it all fell apart from the week after when the Falcons won in Tampa.

This game had the highlights shown on Channel 4 as the Bucs completed a four-game winning streak. And Michael Husted's 51-yard game-winning fieldgoal was the second longest overtime winner in NFL history at the time.

The game situation
It was overtime from midfield. Trent completed a pass to TE Jackie Harris who then fumbled. As the Vikings went to return it, WR Lawrence Dawsey forced another fumble and the ball was recovered by G Ian Beckles giving the Bucs a first down. A few plays later, Husted kicked his game-winner.
