
| And they can do no wrong Tampa Stadium 8 October 1989 The background This was the day that the Bucs broke a 12-game losing streak to the Chicago Bears. Six straight season sweeps to their NFC Central Division rivals came to an end on a hot day in Tampa. The Bucs' entire offensive unit was named the NFC Player of the Week for their performance in racking up 42 points on the vaunted Chicago defense with Vinny Testaverde throwing three touchdown passes and Lars Tate rushing for over 100 yards. But it was a mere extra point that makes our countdown for pretty unique reasons. The game situation The Bucs had just scored their sixth and final TD and led 41-21. Donald Igwebuike was lined up to attempt the extra point but the snap was high and holder Chris Mohr had to scramble in for the then single point.
