The Hi-C double somersault
The Georgia Dome
31 October 1993

The background
In the 1993 draft, the Bucs took a pair of Miami receivers, Lamar Thomas and Horace "Hi-C" Copeland. The latter turned out to be the better pick and soon formed a brief but successful partnership with his former college QB Craig Erickson in the NFL with the Buccaneers.

The Bucs jumped out to a 31-3 lead in this Halloween road game in Atlanta but eventually ended up hanging on by their finger nails to take one of their five wins on the season. But there were a pair of touchdowns for the orange and white earlier in the game that definitely deserved to make this countdown.

The game situation
The Bucs led 17-3 late in the third quarter when Erickson twice connected with Copeland on long scoring plays. And Horace celebrated in his own unique way with backflip somersaults in the endzone, the second of which came as a result of a poor tackle (his word not ours" by Deion Sanders of the Falcons.
