
| All those blocked kicks Tampa Stadium 25 November 1979 The background The Bucs were 9-3 and on their way to their first division title and their first play-off berth. And this less than two years from ending their 0-26 streak to start their history. All they had to do was win one game in their last four. Starting the streak were the Vikings and the Tampa authorities had even greased the goalposts to prevent them being torn down in celebration at the expected Buccaneer victory. But it didn't exactly go to plan that day. Two blocked PATs and a short fieldgoal as well as a blocked punt, and the bad old Bucs threw a victory away. The game situation Inside the final 20 seconds and Doug Williams scrambles right and somersaults into the endzone from 13 yards out. All the Bucs need is a Neil O'Donoghue PAT and the game is going into overtime. And it's blocked.
