Waived in the final roster cuts in 2003 but was re-signed to the practice squad for a week in October following the season-ending injury to Mike Alstott. Played in just the 2002 season opener as a rookie and caught one pass out of the backfield. Was placed on IR in November and played no further part in the campaign. He nearly single-handedly ended the Florida Gators' national championship hopes with his 226-yard performance in the Vols' 34-32 victory in 2001 and finished the year with 291 carries and 1,464 rushing yards last season. Was a finalist for the Doak Walker Award, presented to the nation's top running back.
