Profile
Veteran punter who played for two and a half seasons with the Bucs including the 1979 playoff run. Originally a 12th round pick of the Giants in 1971, Blanchard played three years with the New York club and then five seasons in New Orleans before being traded to Tampa Bay. Was a three-year starter at quarterback at Oregon and even played ahead of Dan Fouts when the latter was a sophomore in college.
