Bucs drop some ticket prices for 2010
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that season ticket prices for the 2010 season will remain the same and in some sections prices will be reduced to $35, $7 less than the cheapest ticket over the last two seasons. This marks the second straight year the Bucs have not raised season ticket prices, after the highest increase in team history following the 2007 campaign.
General season ticket prices for the 2010 season at Raymond James Stadium will be $99, $89, $85, $75, $65, $55, $50, $49, $42, and $35 per game. The Bucs will also introduce a new $35 general ticket price, and will continue to offer season ticket holders a discount versus individual game pricing.
"We recognize this is a challenging economy for our fans," said Jason Layton, senior director of sales and finance. "With new lower ticket prices there is a seating option for all of our fans to become a season ticket holder."
The Bucs went 3-13 in 2009, including 1-6 at home. The team sacrificed one home game at Raymond James Stadium when it played the New England Patriots in London. The average number of people in attendance for Tampa Bay home games fell 10.1 percent in 2009. Actual attendance, rather than tickets sold, has dropped every year since peaking at 59,089 in 2006.
An average of 49,621 fans attended Bucs games last season. The capacity at Raymond James Stadium is 65,856, according to the Tampa Sports Authority.
