Not one of the greatest trades in Buc history. Ray Perkins gave up a 3rd rounder for the former Patriot but after only three catches, one of them being a Hail Mary, he was released from the team. Had originally been a 3rd round pick of the Patriots in 1983 and had one decent season (46 catches in 1984) but limited success the rest of the time in New England. After being released by the Bucs, he was signed by Detroit and played against the Bucs in their Week 11 match-up in the Silverdome.
