Profile
Appeared in just three games in 2003 in mop-up duty (Atlanta, San Francisco and Tennessee) having been the No.2 QB to Brad Johnson all season. Made one start in 2002 following Brad Johnson's back injury and had a nightmare against the Steelers on MNF and was benched in the third quarter. Had moved ahead of Rob Johnson for the No.2 spot by mid-season. Thrust into a starting role as a rookie in 1999 following Trent Dilfer's season-ending collarbone injury, he led the Bucs to the NFC Championship Game against the Rams. Started every game the following season but became Tampa's No.2 QB when Brad Johnson was signed as a free agent in April 2001. Saw mop-up duty in a couple of games but played most of the season finale against the Eagles.
