Started the 2010 season opener against Cleveland but became used less and less as the season wore on and after three inactive games, was released at the end of November. Had started every game at defensive tackle alongside Chris Hovan in 2009 and played in all but one game in 2008 and made starts at both Carolina and Atlanta when injuries hit the front four. Had been obtained in a trade just after the 2007 draft that netted the Chiefs a potential 2008 7th round pick. Saw action in just over half the games in 2007 and had limited effectiveness playing both middle tackle positions. Was the sixth overall selection in the 2002 draft but has had injury problems during his time in the NFL.
