Profile
Missed most of his rookie season through injury although was on the inactive roster for most regular season games. Played in his first NFL game in the season opener against the Saints in September 2002. Was inactive in week 2 and then released when the Bucs signed free agent tight end Rickey Dudley. Re-signed to the roster 10 days later when Kerry Jenkins broke his leg against the Rams on Monday Night Football. Waived again the following week and after a week on the practice squad, was released for good. Wound up with the New England Patriots and made the starting line-up due to injuries on the line. Hence started in SuperBowl XXXVIII against the Panthers and won a ring for his troubles.
