Former college team-mate of Walter Payton at Jackson State and starter of two of the three games he played in for the 1976 expansion Buccaneers. Started at left cornerback against Pittsburgh and then switched to the right side for the season finale against New England. Had been signed as a free agent in December 1976 due to the injury problems sustained by the team having originally been a 3rd round pick of the Jets in 1974. Never played in the NFL again after leaving Tampa Bay. Amazingly played for four different teams during the 1976 season having started the year with the Jets where he played two games, then played one in Buffalo and four more for the New York Giants before coming to Tampa.
