Played in the first three games of the season before breaking his thumb in that game and was placed on IR the following day. Played the final seven games of the 2003 season with two starts having been released in training camp with an injury settlement that meant he could not rejoin Tampa Bay for the first 10 weeks of the season. Former first round pick of the Raiders who was signed by the Bucs prior to Week 3 of the 2002 season. Played in the remaining 14 games and made three starts as the No.2 tight end and became a scoring threat inside the red zone. Spent five years in Oakland before playing the 2001 season with the Cleveland Browns. Was not offered a contract after the 2004 season.
