Was placed on Injured reserve after the San Diego game having sustained a serious neck injury in making a tackle and was released at the end of the season having failed a physical. Was the Bucs' starting strong-side linebacker but came out of the game in nickel passing formations. Signed to a lucrative contract extension before the 2011 season but failed to deliver on his promise either in pass coverage or run defense having frequently been caught out of position or over-pursuing plays. Led the team in special teams' tackles in 2008 with 24 tied with Mark Witte for the sixth highest in franchise history.
