Profile
In the early years of the Buccaneer franchise, Morris Owens was the receiving threat that the team had. He caught the first TD pass in team history from Louis Carter, and led the team in TD receptions each of the first three years. Claimed on waivers from Miami two games into the 1976 season and scored three times against them in their regular season meeting that year. Was the career scoring leader and receiver in franchise history when his four years with the Bucs ended after 1979. Never caught a pass in four games across two seasons for the Dolphins having been their 5th round draft pick in 1975. Never played in the NFL again after leaving Tampa Bay.
Selected as the 54th Greatest player in Buccaneer history in 2007.
