Played in all three replacement games and started two. Had two sacks in the final game against the Vikings and also caused a fumble on an abortive punt which was recovered for a touchdown. Had been in training camps with Green Bay and Cleveland but had only briefly emulated his father (John) or uncle (Jim Marshall) by playing in the NFL with one appearance for the Packers in 1986. Had been working driving an airport shuttle bus when the Bucs came calling. Was invited to training camp the following season but did not make the 1988 team.
