Started every game at left defensive end and led the Bucs in sacks with nine, a career high and thereby priced himself out of the market leaving in free agency to join Seattle in March 2013.

Had won a starting job in the 2011 training camp and kept it for 10 weeks before being replaced by rookie Da'Quan Bowers. Ranked second on the team with four sacks and more than doubled his career total in tackles in his third NFL season. Was originally signed after the fifth game of the 2009 season to replace the traded Gaines Adams having originaly entered the NFL with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent.
