In Georgia
So the Bucs had the best bye week possible with the Saints (thanks for the lock Lee!) and Panthers losing, and our banged up team to get a week or so of full on physical rest.
This week off has enabled Mr Pittman to get back to fitness, and is expected to share carries with Earnest Graham. This is me, and whilst I’m clearly not an NFL Coach, I’d leave Graham in there until the 3rd quarter, then mix it up a bit with Pittman and Bennett (the guy flys for goodness sake!) sharing the 3rd quarter, and the final quarter’s scoreline determining who comes in/stays in.
NFL Watch
I still hate the Patriots.
Adrian Peterson? Damn…
Bucs to trade for Brady Quinn? Simple. Yes please.
Where have all the decent quarterbacks gone? I think half the teams are thankful how deep the draft will be at QB.
The 49ers – guys, what the HELL are you doing? Apparently Alex Smith has a bad throwing arm – then why has he been playing?!
Ricky Williams back in the NFL? I suppose he could provide Mr Chatman with a backup…?
Reggie Bush vs. Mario Williams this week – were the Texans right to pass on Reggie? Verdict is still out, but if you’re offering Vince Young….
The current poll of NFL.com is who’ll win the AFC South. Whilst the Titans and Jags are only a game behind the Colts, does anyone truly think they stand a chance? Apparently not, as 75% know the Colts will win out.
But you must worry about the 2% who voted for the Texans…

With 34 carries last time out, it’s not unreasonable to expect/hope for each back to get 12 carries this time out, especially as they all bring something different to the table – running back by committee – the scourge of Fantasy owners, but the lifeblood of the NFL!
Bye weeks for me tend to be a week off – whilst I love the NFL, and even though it’s on for only a few months a year, it lets you stay away from Gamecentre/Gamepass, meaning you’re not constantly waiting for a screen to refresh on your PC or mobile (Yes, I am that sad!). It also keeps you in the good books…
Atlanta – not a team I’m particularly concerned about, but this season looks like being those games that are worrying – Detroit…?
The offense consists of a QB who has a bit of a tummy (take your pick), and not in ownership of a pair of legs that can carry him particularly fast… or far, two running backs who are one step away from joining Caddy, a group of receivers who lack the main ingredient a receiver needs – the ability to catch, and an offensive line who don’t appear to like their QBs. Well it’s either that or they’re shit, so I’m playing nice.
Their defense is what’s got them three wins thus far (two wins more than I’d predicted I must say), and it is something to watch out for, but our offense is better than theirs, so by default I take an ugly win (similar to the Cards game, but with ‘big-boned’ QB’s) and the Bucs winning 24-13, with Tanard Jackson rumbling one home.
