Profile
Was given a lucrative two-year deal in the 2009 off-season and named the starting QB but lost out to Byron Leftwich during the following pre-season and was ultimately traded to Jacksonville before the start of the regular season. Saw action in two games in mop-up action during 2008 having spent most of the season as the No.2 or No.3 quarterback depending on the injury position of Jeff Garcia and Brian Griese. Made three starts at the end of the 2007 seasonand completed his first 15 passes for nearly 200 yards in leading the Bucs to an astounding victory in New Orleans. Missed the first half of 2006 with a torn ACL and was the designated third QB throughout 2005. Obtained on draft day 2005 from the Cleveland Browns in return for a 6th round pick. Was a fourth-round pick of the Browns in 2004. The younger brother of NFL quarterback Josh McCown.
