Profile
Spent his second full season as the Bucs' No.2 quarterback and made one start against Carolina when Josh Freeman was injured. Also saw action in three others as a back-up and in four others as a wildcat QB including a few deep throws as a receiver in the season finale in Atlanta. Started four games in 2009 having taken over from Byron Leftwich but moved back to the No.2 spot when Josh Freeman took over at mid-season. Showed nice mobility at times but was too inaccurate to be a successful starting quarterback. Was inactive for every game during the 2008 season having been kept on the roster all year as a fourth quarterback. Was the Bucs' 5th round selection in the 2008 NFL draft and the 160th overall pick. Left Tampa Bay as a free agent in March 2012 to rejoin his former college coach Jim Harbaugh in San Francisco.
