Spent most of his three Buccaneer seasons as a blocking tight end but saw more action late in 2010 when moved up to the No.2 role behind Kellen Winslow. Originally signed as a unrestricted free agent in March 2008 having previously spent six seasons with the Bears but never had more than 10 receptions in a season. Was originally a 6th round pick of the Saints in 2002 but was released before the season started.
