Profile
Spent his first three seasons backing up Jimmie Giles at tight end before exploding onto the scene in Leeman Bennett's two-tight end offense in 1985. Ranked amongst the league leaders in receptions when his season was ended by a serious knee injury. Returned in 1986 and after three games in mid-season, broke an ankle against Chicago in November 1986 and never played professionally again. Won the 1986 Ricky Bell Award given by the NFL Alumni for his off-field community work. Tried to make a comeback in 1987 but was released during training camp.
