Played six seasons with the Bucs, three as a starting inside linebacker before being traded to the Chiefs. Utilised as a pass rusher more in 1990 and set a career high in sacks with 5.5. Always a popular player with the fans during his time in Tampa Bay. Won the "Hit of the Year" award from the NFL in 1987 for a crushing tackle on Bears' RB Neal Anderson. Played two more seasons with Kansas City before retiring after the 1993 season.
