Profile
Probably the most renowed of all the Buccaneer QBs. Played five seasons in Tampa Bay having been selected with the 16th overall pick of the 1978 draft. Started every game when fit over those five years and led the Bucs to the play-offs in three of those seasons. Left after the 1982 season following a bitter contract dispute and joined the USFL. Returned to the NFL in 1986 when the Bucs traded his rights to the Redskins and made a career from the second quarter of the 1987 SuperBowl when he passed for five TDs and won the MVP award. Became a successful head coach at Grambling University having spent one season as an assistant coach with the Scottish Claymores and re-joined the Buccaneers in the front office in February 2004.
Selected as the 8th Greatest player in Buccaneer history in 2007.
Named to the Bucs UK Hall of Fame 2009.
