Profile
One of the finest cornerbacks to ever play for the Buccaneers and a deserving Pro Bowl berth rewarded his 2000 season. His play dropped off a level in 2001 and rather than take a $5.2 cap hit for a nickel back, Was released in February 2002 before signing an $18M six-year deal with the Jets that ultimately saw him play three more seasons in the NFL with the AFC team. Originally a third-round pick, he worked his way into the starting line-up by 1997 and for four years, one of the best corners to ever play Tony Dungy's Cover-2 defense. Was the franchise leader in interceptions when he left the Bucs but has since been surpassed by Ronde Barber.
