Claimed on waivers from the Jets four weeks into the 2006 season. Had been a 3rd round pick in the 2004 draft out of Oklahoma and played 26 games with two starts in the playoffs as a rookie.
At Oklahoma, he won both the Thorpe and Nagurski awards as a senior in 2003. His 53 career starts as a Sooner are an all-time school record, and his career marks included 264 tackles, 14 interceptions, seven forced fumbles, two sacks and 54 passes defensed.
