Backed up Hardy Nickerson at middle linebacker for four seasons and made five starts when injury kept the Bucs' All-Pro out of the line-up. Never lived up to his college billing in the pros. Had problems after leaving football and was shot dead by police in San Diego in 2000 following a domestic situation.
